Quality management

At ThyssenKrupp Presta Hungary we improve the quality of our products and services continuously and keep them at the highest level. To meet our customers requirements and live up to their expectations, perfect operation, high safety and reliability level, cost-effectiveness, long service life and environmental-friendly products are essential. We continuously improve our business management system and our business processes, we make our quality objectives measurable thus make decisions by considering objective factors. We control functioning and effectiveness of the quality management system by regular quality assurance audits and reviews performed by the management. Avoidance of failures having top priority will be achieved by continuous improvements. We maintain fruitful cooperation with our suppliers and other partners and encourage them to follow a quality policy similar to ours. Each employee and each supervisor are responsible for the quality on their working place and for their work products.

Our Quality Management System covering design, engineering, research and development of electrical power assisted steering systems complies with the ISO/TS16949 standard that defines particular requirements for the application of ISO9001 for automotive suppliers. Compliance is regularly audited and certified by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems SQS.

As we are developing functional safety critical systems we have to comply with the requirements of the related standards like "IEC 61508 Functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety related systems" and the upcoming "ISO 26262 Road vehicles - Functional safety" standards.

For the development and continuous improvement of our processes we also considered the Automotive SPICE® reference model requirements developed by car manufacturers within the Automotive Special Interest Group (SIG) of the joint Procurement Forum/SPICE User Group. Our goal is to reach SPICE level 3 in all applicable process areas.

We are confident that our well established process environment not only satisfies customer and regulatory requirements but also our employees benefit of it. They know their goals and appraisal criteria. They know what, when, how to do, what is their role and responsibility. They take part on training, coaching, and skill development. They are using state of the art processes and tools. They are sharing best practices with each others. Appropriate estimation, planning and tracking enables them to achieve the quality, time and budget goals of the projects without disturbing work life balance significantly.
